How is my band score worked out?
Reading and Listening are marked against the answer key and converted to a band the standard way. Writing and Speaking are scored by AI against the public band descriptors, so treat those bands as a close estimate, not an official result.
How does the Speaking test work?
The examiner asks the questions aloud through all three parts. In Part 2 the cue card appears as it is handed to you and you get a minute to prepare. You just need a microphone; the examiner moves on when you finish speaking.

Reading and Writing are Academic. Listening and Speaking are the same in both versions of the test.
Do I need to install anything?
