Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how IELTS Practice (“we”, “us”, “our”), operating the website at testmimic.com, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our IELTS mock-test platform (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign up with email or with Google, we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (name, email, and Google account identifier) — we never receive your Google password.
- Test activity. Your practice-test attempts, answers, scores, and progress so we can show your results and history.
- Technical data. Basic request data such as IP address and approximate country (used for security and analytics), and authentication cookies that keep you signed in.
2. How we use your information
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- To deliver mock tests and store your results and progress.
- To send transactional emails such as email-verification and account notices.
- To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your Google profile data for advertising.
3. Service providers we share data with
We use trusted third parties solely to operate the Service. Each processes only the data needed for its function:
- Google — sign-in (OAuth) and transactional email delivery.
4. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to authenticate you and keep your session active. These are not used for advertising. Disabling them will prevent you from logging in.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and test data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Contact below), after which we delete it except where retention is required by law.
6. Your rights
You may access, correct, or delete your personal information, and you may withdraw consent for Google sign-in by revoking access in your Google Account permissions. To exercise any of these rights, contact us below.
7. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and scoped access credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard measures.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
